A scientific diet means eating everything in moderation: Avoiding nutritional misconceptions.

Food is a culture and an enjoyment in China. It is common for friends and family to gather and for business dinners. If we can't eat anything, wouldn't everyone at the table just be drinking plain water? So, eating is not forbidden, and we can eat anything. In fact, we must eat everything.

However, when it comes to this, many men may think that picky eating, unbalanced diets, or overeating are the causes of overnutrition and obesity. But few people would think that this is also the main reason why some people are too thin and have a weak constitution.

However, a surprising fact is that obesity does not account for the majority of all male diseases. In fact, lean or slender men often have lower immune systems than obese men, making them more susceptible to various illnesses.

Therefore, regardless of your physical condition or profession, you must pay attention to a balanced diet, especially working men with irregular lifestyles and inadequate nutrition. They should take eating seriously to ensure they receive balanced nutrition. However, certain methods and approaches are also important to improve your health.

Modern life is fast-paced, and instant noodles, with their convenience and low price, have become one of the most popular fast foods. Office workers especially love them, as they can be eaten as snacks, late-night meals, or even regular meals – affordable and convenient. Many men, in particular, don't have as many concerns about their figure and skin as women, and are often careless about their diet, making instant noodles a natural favorite, with several packs frequently kept in their desks. However, men who frequently eat instant noodles, did you know that while it's convenient at the time, it might ultimately bring bigger problems?

Mr. Song is a math teacher at a school. Because his home is far from the school and he is too lazy to make breakfast, he often eats instant noodles with a poached egg for breakfast. Although he knows that instant noodles don't have much nutrition, he is still very satisfied with this lifestyle. It saves him time so he can sleep in a little longer, the taste is good, it smells nice, and it keeps him full for a long time.

However, this period of relative comfort was short-lived. Mr. Song frequently experienced pain in his right rib area, and his urine became slightly yellow. But being a man, he didn't take it seriously and continued his diet primarily consisting of instant noodles. It wasn't until one day, while lecturing, that he broke out in a cold sweat from the pain, even missing a class, that he rushed to the hospital for liver function tests and an ultrasound. The results showed that Mr. Song had more than ten gallstones of varying sizes in his gallbladder. Based on Mr. Song's dietary habits, the doctor believed it was largely related to his constant consumption of instant noodles. Only then did Mr. Song realize the significant inconvenience these instant noodles had caused him.

Most instant noodles on the market are deep-fried, with oil content sometimes exceeding 20%. The oil used for frying instant noodles is mostly palm oil, which has a high boiling point, can be reused multiple times, and contains a large amount of saturated fatty acids. Therefore, frequent consumption of instant noodles can not only lead to weight gain but also disrupt blood lipid metabolism, easily inducing diseases such as arteriosclerosis, coronary heart disease, and gallstones.

A survey once found that among people who regularly consume instant noodles, 60% suffer from varying degrees of malnutrition, 54% suffer from iron-deficiency anemia, 23% lack riboflavin, 16% are zinc deficient, and 2% suffer from various eye diseases due to vitamin A deficiency. Furthermore, the various food additives added for coloring, bleaching, anti-oxidation, and extending shelf life can also harm the body. For example, a packet of instant noodles contains 6 grams of salt, while our daily salt intake should not exceed 8 grams. Therefore, the salt content of instant noodles is significantly high, and long-term consumption can lead to high blood pressure. Additionally, the large amount of oxidized lipids in instant noodles accumulates in blood vessels and other organs, accelerating aging, causing arteriosclerosis, and potentially triggering diseases such as cerebral hemorrhage, heart disease, and kidney disease.

Some people might say, "It's not that serious. I eat it all the time, and I haven't gotten sick." But Rome wasn't built in a day, and even if you don't get sick, it won't do much good for your health. As a widely accepted convenience food, it's impossible to completely avoid it. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when eating it, especially for men who are reluctant to cook: First, instant noodles are only suitable for emergencies. Only eat them when it's inconvenient to eat or when you're limited by circumstances. Avoid them in your daily life if possible. Second, if you like instant noodles or need to eat them for an extended period due to circumstances, be sure to add some side dishes, such as sausages, beef jerky, dried meat, meat floss, hard-boiled eggs, braised meat, etc., and add some vegetables, such as cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes, lotus root, bok choy, and rapeseed.
