A holistic approach to prostate health: navel filling, abdominal massage, and acupressure points to relieve enlargement.
There are some simple methods to treat prostatitis. Next, I will introduce some simple methods to treat prostatitis. 1. Navel filling method: The cause of prostate disease is often to look for the cause in the kidney and bladder. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that this disease is mostly caused by damp heat in the lower abdomen, which affects the function of the kidney and bladder. Prostatitis caused by this reason can be treated by the navel filling method. Prepare some asarum and white pepper, put them in a container and grind them into powder, and divide them evenly into 10 portions. Take one portion and put it into the navel, and then stick it firmly with a rheumatic pain relief plaster. After five or six days of continuous treatment, the symptoms of prostatitis will begin to be relieved. 2. Physical therapy: (1) Alternately wipe the area around the anus with hot and cold towels, which is mostly used for chronic diseases. (2) Heat one pound of salt and half a pound of green onions over a low flame, wrap them in a cloth, and apply the hot compress to the patient's lower abdomen. 3. Abdominal massage: There is also a method of abdominal massage, which is said to be used to treat prostatitis. The specific method is as follows: Before going to bed and before getting up, empty your bladder. Lie flat on the bed with your legs bent. First, rub your hands together to warm them. Then, place your right hand on the lower part of your navel, and place your left hand on the back of your right hand. Slowly rotate your abdomen clockwise. Gradually increase the number of rotations from 50 to about 300. If you persist in this way, your previously cool lower abdomen will begin to feel warm, and the pain will be relieved.
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a common disease among the elderly. In the early stages, frequent urination is common, especially at night, and in severe cases, difficulty urinating may occur. So, how can one take care of oneself? Here are some measures: (1) Prevent exposure to cold. Patients must pay attention to keeping warm and preventing colds and upper respiratory tract infections. (2) Absolutely avoid alcohol. Drinking alcohol can cause congestion and edema of the prostate and bladder neck, inducing urinary retention. (3) Do not hold urine. Holding urine will cause the bladder to become overfilled, making urination difficult. (4) Avoid overexertion. Overexertion will deplete vital energy, causing weak urination. (5) Avoid prolonged sitting. Prolonged sitting can worsen hemorrhoids and other conditions, and easily cause congestion in the perineum. Regularly participating in cultural and sports activities and qigong exercises can help alleviate symptoms. (6) Drink adequate water. Drink plenty of water during the day, controlling the daily water intake to 1500-2000 ml.
If a man experiences symptoms such as frequent urination, a weak urine stream, or dribbling at the end of urination, he should not ignore them and should see a doctor for examination as soon as possible. He may have benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). BPH, also known as urinary retention, is a common disease among the elderly. Patients with BPH should regulate their diet, avoiding excessive consumption of fatty, sweet, and spicy foods, as well as excessive alcohol consumption. They should also pay attention to personal hygiene, changing their underwear frequently to prevent skin and urinary tract infections. Finally, maintaining a positive mood is also important.
Generally, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men begins around age 35, increasing by 1.5 to 2 grams per year. Getting rid of this condition isn't difficult; symptoms can be improved through acupressure. There are two acupressure methods: one involves selecting the Qugu (曲骨), Sanyinjiao (三阴交), and Shuifen (水分) acupoints as a group; the other involves selecting the Cilao (次醪) and Pangguangshu (膀俞) acupoints as a group. Method 1: Massage the Qugu (曲骨), Sanyinjiao (三阴交), and Shuifen acupoints. First, press the Qugu acupoint (located in the depression above the upper edge of the pubic symphysis in the lower abdomen). When pressing, use all ten fingers of both hands to press the acupoint while leaning forward to increase pressure. Next, press the Sanyinjiao acupoint (located on the inner side of the lower leg, three finger-widths above the medial malleolus, in the depression at the edge of the tibia directly above the ankle tip). When pressing, sit cross-legged with one knee upright and use the thumb of the opposite leg to press the acupoint. Finally, press the Shuifen acupoint (located on the upper abdomen, on the anterior midline, one inch above the umbilicus). When pressing, lie supine, stack the index fingers of both hands, and press the acupoint while gently rubbing and applying pressure. Method Two: Press the Cilu and Pangguangshu acupoints. Gently press the Cilu acupoint (between the posterior superior iliac spine and the posterior midline, corresponding to the second posterior sacral foramen); then press the Pangguangshu acupoint (located in the sacral region, two finger-widths to the left and right of the second sacral vertebra, level with the second posterior sacral foramen). Massaging these acupoints can effectively relieve the discomfort caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
